My daily go-to AI tool: Perplexity.ai

Hey there, It’s been a while. How are you?

In this era, the world is full of AI tools. Models like ChatGPT, Gemini, LLama. There are also software and tools on top of the models, such as ChatGPT app, store, Poe, Monica. And then a large collection of browser extension for summarizing web page and youtube video.

Among them, I use one AI tool every day, every hour indeed. It is the Perplexity.ai.

Several benefits I gain:

• It searches online directly and do quality summarization on the search results.
  • The generated content is more reliable when the tool searches online with sources indication.
• The design is more focus on replacing search engine, instead of being a chat bot.
  • This allows wild-spreading the tool to more non technical end users.
  • My wife can learn easily how to use Perplexity to take a photo and ask.
• The collection allows saving the search/chat history in "folder".
  • This is good for learning and categorizing related information together.
• The collection allows pre-defined prompts.
  • This is similar to the "Create Bot" or "Store", which we can have different kind of collections act as different kind of AI bot with prompt applied.
  • This is good for quick research and quick automation.

For these features that benefits me, I use it every day.
